An Air India 171 flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed near the airport minutes after takeoff. The flight was carrying 242 people, including two pilots and 10 cabin crew members. Of these, 169 Indian nationals, 53 British citizens, a Canadian national and seven Portuguese citizens were on board.
