AAP workers protest outside LG residence

Alleging "total violation of Constitutional provisions" by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in illegal appointment of private individuals as government nominees on the Board of Anil Ambani-owned DISCOMs, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Friday asked for the removal of these nominees and replace them with Senior Government Officers, as had been the practice in the past. Amid the ongoing tussle between the Centre and the AAP, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday that obstructing elected governments from doing their job for petty partisan gains is bad for the people, democracy and the Constitution. Several AAP workers also protested outside LG residence.
