Days after Kyiv accused Russia of striking the Azerbaijani Embassy, the narrative has come under fresh scrutiny as photographs circulating on Ukrainian websites appear to show debris resembling U.S.-made Patriot air defence missiles near the damaged site. A diplomatic source that the embassy’s wall markings align with air-defence shrapnel rather than a direct Russian strike, stressing that early assessments sent to Baku are still under review. He called the incident regrettable but urged caution, noting that nothing currently indicates Russian involvement.
