Saudi Arabia on July 15 strongly condemned Israel's continued air assault on neighboring Syria. The Saudi Foreign Ministry called the Israeli aggression “blatant and ongoing aggression.” It also renewed its call for the international community to stand with Syria and to take a firm position against the escalating Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had targeted Syrian military vehicles to maintain a demilitarized zone and protect Druze residents, seen by the Israeli government as allies.
