Russia has issued a sharp rebuke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that the ongoing escalation risks pushing the region into deeper chaos. At the UN, Moscow criticised Israel’s actions in Lebanon, accusing it of widening the conflict and undermining international law. Russian ambassador to the UN called for an immediate ceasefire, protection of civilians, and respect for sovereignty, stressing that continued military action could trigger broader instability across the Middle East. The remarks signal rising tensions as global powers clash over the direction of the conflict.
