Putin’s Men Encircle Ukrainian Troops, ‘Bloodbath’ On Front; Russia Claims Control Over 300 Sq Kms

Russia’s Chief of the General Staff, Valeri Gerasimov, claims Russian forces have captured eight settlements and more than 300 square kilometers of territory since the start of the year in the Ukraine conflict zone. Speaking to military personnel, Gerasimov said the fiercest fighting has taken place in areas controlled by Russia’s Central group of forces. He reported the encirclement and destruction of Ukrainian units and advances around Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov, with troops pushing forward on multiple fronts. Ukraine rejects Moscow’s claims, calling Russia’s actions an invasion, as the war continues with no immediate end in sight.
