The counting has concluded in 250 seats, revealing that independent candidates, largely supported by the imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, have secured the lead with 99 seats, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan. Following closely behind are Nawaz Sharif's PML-N with 71 seats, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with 53, Muttahida Qaumi Movement with 17, and other seats allocated to smaller parties. Despite their initial affiliation with Imran Khan's party, the independents have the freedom to align with any party, potentially leading to instability as they retain the option to switch loyalties in the future.
