Iran activates a new "Supreme Defense Council" as part of significant structural changes within the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) days after it fought war with Israel. President Masoud Pezeshkian will chair a newly revived defense council, a top-tier military body that has not operated in any meaningful way since the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s. Meanwhile, the Iranian army chief, Major General Amir Hatami, on August 3 said that threats from Israel still persist. Watch this video to know more.
