Iran has sharply pushed back against claims by Donald Trump that it agreed to hand over its enriched uranium, calling the assertion baseless. Tehran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei declared the uranium stockpile “as sacred as the soil of Iran,” making clear it will not be transferred under any circumstances. He stressed that such an option was never even discussed, directly contradicting Trump’s claim of full cooperation. Instead, Iran is doubling down on its demands—lifting sanctions and securing compensation as key conditions for any talks. The blunt rejection signals rising tensions, with both sides hardening positions and leaving little room for an immediate diplomatic breakthrough.
