Iran Claims Israeli Aircraft Downed In Hormuz Region, Military Goes On High Alert

Is Benjamin Netanyahu trying to sabotage the U.S. efforts to broker peace with Iran? The Iranian state media on Sunday released images that allegedly showed the wreckage of an Israeli reconnaissance drone shot down by Iran’s air defences near the strategically sensitive Strait of Hormuz. The footage, circulated by IRIB and other Iranian outlets, shows burned and scattered debris allegedly belonging to the downed UAV over Hormozgan province in southern Iran. According to Iranian officials, the aircraft was conducting a surveillance mission in the region when it was intercepted and destroyed.

Home Minister Amit Shah To Review India-Pakistan Border Security In Rajasthan

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin a two-day visit to Rajasthan on Monday night to review border security and assess anti-drone measures along sectors bordering Pakistan. Shah is expected to chair a high-level meeting with senior BSF officials, intelligence agencies and district administrators, focusing on curbing drone-based smuggling of narcotics, arms and contraband in border districts such as Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar. He will stay overnight at the BSF Sector Headquarters in Bikaner before visiting the Sanchu Border Outpost on Tuesday to interact with BSF personnel during a ‘Sainik Sammelan’. Shah will also inaugurate women’s barracks virtually and participate in a plantation drive. Officials are expected to discuss laser fencing, surveillance upgrades and improved intelligence coordination in sensitive border areas.
