Slovak MP Andrej Danko has questioned why Slovakia should not seek repayment for the €3.5 billion ($3.8 billion) in aid it has given to Ukraine, following reports that the U.S. is negotiating a deal to secure 50% of Ukraine’s critical minerals in exchange for its assistance. Danko argued that if the U.S., Germany, and France expect returns, Slovakia should too. Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen unveiled another €3.5 billion EU package for Ukraine, as internal EU divisions grow over extending military aid into 2025. Russia, in turn, warns that continued arms shipments will only escalate tensions.#slovakia #ukraine #trump #zelensky
