A new report has revealed that the European Union spent $23 billion on Russian fossil fuels in 2024, surpassing the $19.6 billion allocated as financial aid to Ukraine. The findings, released on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion, highlight the EU’s continued dependence on Russian energy despite ongoing efforts to curb reliance.
