After Putin Call, Trump Softens on Ukraine War; Floats Vatican Talks, Signals U.S. Shift

After a two-hour phone call with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump’s rhetoric on the Ukraine war is shifting. He now suggests direct talks between Kyiv and Moscow — possibly even in the Vatican — and appears less committed to immediate U.S. mediation. The move comes as VP J.D.
