Peruvian archaeologists have unearthed the preserved mummy of a boy dating back to pre-Inca times. Archaeologist said the mummy belonged to an adolescent male of approximately 12 years of age. It was found in a tomb wrapped in three layers of cotton textiles. Utensils made out of pumpkin, beans and chili peppers were also found in the tomb. The discovery, along with 24 other less-preserved skeletal remains, was made in the Cajamarquilla archaeological complex. The site, near the Peruvian capital Lima, dates back over 1,000 years.
