Lakshadweep-based model-actor Aisha Sulthana who has previously worked with the Mollywood director Lal Jose, is donning the director’s cap for the first time with the film ‘Flush’. The makers recently unveiled an intriguing trailer for the film that takes a dip into the lives of people living in Lakshadweep.Aisha Sulthana, the first filmmaker from Lakshadweep, took to her official Facebook handle to unveil the trailer for her directorial debut. ‘Flush’s trailer hints that the director is clearly aiming to shed light on the lives of residents in Lakshadweep. The trailer starts as a light-hearted school kids drama movie and slowly builds up its pace towards some major concerns that the residents are facing. The trailer for Aisha Sulthana’s directorial debut also shares a few glimpses of the political issues faced by the residents.‘Flush’ will be presented at the Third International Women’s Film Festival on July 17th and the festival is scheduled to start from July 16th onwards in Kozhikode, Kerala. 24 films by women directors will be screened at the third International Women’s Film Festival. Written and directed by Aisha Sulthana, KG Ratheesh captured the beautiful frames in Lakshadweep, and the music department was handled by William Francis and Kailas Menon. Noufal Abdullah handled the editing section of the movie whereas, the background score was composed by Kailas Menon.
