After the underwhelming film 'Retro', the anticipation around Suriya’s next film which is tentatively titled 'Suriya 47', continues to grow.Now the director Jithu Madhavan has shared new details during a recent airport interaction with the media.As reported by Pinkvilla, when asked if the film would resemble a Malayalam movie, the 'Aavesham' director said, “The shoot for Suriya 47 is going on right now. The updates will be made officially and it will be a proper Tamil film.”

About 'Aavesham 2'

Suriya is currently working on two major films, tentatively titled Suriya 46 and Suriya 47. Suriya 47 is said to feature the 'Lokah' actor Naslen in an important role, though an official announcement is awaited.Because 'Aavesham' became a breakout Malayalam hit fans consistently ask for updates on its sequel. Jithu Madhavan addressed this directly during the interaction. He said talks are ongoing. However Jithu stressed that no final decision has been made.

Meanwhile the superhit film 'Manjummel Boys' director Chidambaram is collaborating with Jithu Madhavan on a new film titled 'Balan: The Boy'. Jithu has written the screenplay for the film and this pairing has already sparked interest because both filmmakers are currently among the most talked-about names in Malayalam cinema.

'Balan' recently earned its first major reaction from filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. He watched a small cut of the film after meeting Chidambaram and shared his thoughts on X. Just AMAZING.”Jithu Madhavan's directorial debut was with the Soubin Shahir and Arjun Ashokan starrer 'Romancham' and later he directed the Fahadh Faasil starrer 'Aavesham' which competed with Vineeth Sreenivasan's 'Varshangalkku Shesham'.
