Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's 1998 blackbuck poaching case is still ongoing. In a new development in the case, a news agency stated that the Rajasthan High Court has allowed the transfer petition of the case which means that all the pleas relating to the actor and the poaching case will now be heard in the High Court. The news agency's tweet stated, "1998 blackbuck poaching case | Rajasthan High Court allows the transfer petition of actor Salman Khan. The pleas relating to the actor will now be heard in the High Court." Salman Khan had moved a petition in the high court seeking transfer of these two petitions to it so that all the three cases are heard at one place. His counsel said, “After a brief hearing, Justice PS Bhati granted permission to transfer the two petitions to the high court, where one petition by the state is already pending. Hearing of all these cases will now take place at one place, which will save valuable time." Another petition by the state challenging his acquittal in a case under the Arms Act had already been pending in the same court.
