For three months, Pune’s iconic and chaotic vegetable market — Mahatma Phule Mandai and shopping destination —Tulshibaug wore a deserted look, owing to the pandemic. The two most popular shopping destinations, however, opened with new rules and social-distancing policies on June 5. On a Sunday morning, hundreds of people visited Mandai to buy vegetables. Although with humid weather and cramped places to stand for hours to shop, patrons didn’t mind returning to their favourite shopping destinations, with safety precautions…
