Western Railway uses sun pipes to provide daytime lighting at Mumbai Central

Western Railway has come up with a cost-effective, yet aesthetically pleasing way to improve daytime lighting in the concourse area of Mumbai Central. The technology involves placing of sun pipes on the roof top passing through the roof structure.The sun pipes have been installed at a cost of Rs 4.46 lakh.
