A person from Pune was detained by Mumbai Police for issuing a death threat to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, using the name of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The suspect will also be questioned regarding a similar threat to actor Salman Khan. Raut reported receiving threatening messages and calls, warning that he would be shot with an AK-47 if seen in New Delhi. The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader filed a complaint, leading to the detention of the suspect. “I have intimated the police about the threat call, but do not think any action would be taken. I received the call last night. Whenever I inform the government and home minister about such threats they mock me saying it's a stunt. The government is busy sponsoring riots, hooliganism and terror,” Raut said.
