Monsoon rains: Mumbai-Goa highway traffic halts after landslide

Mumbai-Goa highway traffic was halted after a massive landslide due to incessant rains near Kemburli village along the highway. The landslide took place near Kemburli village when a hillock along the highway gave in due to incessant rains on Wednesday night.Traffic snarls hit the passengers travelling on the highway as the stretch of the jam was reported to be as long as 5 km on both sides of the landslide spot till the last reports. The rescue teams have been pressed in service to clear the highway for movement of the traffic.
