Later, Fadnavis said that the complaints filed against him were private ones, but those were filed while fighting for the public causes related to slum dwellers in Gokulpeth area, back in 1995-97. He informed that he had sought information on total offences against him from the police itself under RTI and based on that information, he had filed the affidavit while submitting the nomination form for 2014 assembly polls.
