Devotees observed a sacred bath in the Sangam river to commemorate Ganesh Chaturthi. This festival, occurring in the Bhadrapada month of the Hindu calendar, celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati. Known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav, it involves the installation of Ganesha idols in homes and ornate pandals. The ten-day celebration concludes with immersion processions on Anant Chaturdashi, during which the idols are respectfully immersed.
