Ex-BSP leader who gifted Mayawati plot on moon, shot dead

Former Bahujan same Party (BSP) leader Narendra Singh was shot dead by unknown assailants in Kanpur on June 20. Singh made headlines in 2010 when he gifted a 3-acre plot on the moon to then UP chief minister Mayawati on her birthday. Police said that Singh suffered at least six gunshot wounds from four assailants on two bikes. A forensic investigation into the matter is currently underway.
