Dowry harassment: Woman tied up and brutally thrashed by husband

In yet another shameful incident of crime against women, a woman was tied to the ceiling and brutally thrashed by her husband over non-fulfillment of dowry demands. The incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district, where the man thrashed her wife after she refused to ask for Rs. 50, 000 from her parents, as demanded by her husband. The accused even filmed the entire incident and sent it to the victim's brother while threatening that if they do not fulfill his demand, such incidents will continue.
