Tourism or beef promotion? VHP lashes out at Kerala govt over 'beef recipe' tweet

The Vishva Hindu Parishad lashed out at the Kerala govt for promoting beef as the local cuisine in a Twitter post on Makar Sankranti. VHP said such tweets hurt the sentiments of Hindus especially during holy days. The Kerala govt's tourism department tweeted, “Tender chunks of beef, slow-roasted with aromatic spices, coconut pieces, and curry leaves. A recipe for the most classic dish, Beef Ularthiyathu, the stuff of legends, from the land of spices, Kerala”.
