Shellcraft and sea shells art aren’t things that we see a lot in Kerala. Sea shells art is the form of art, in which the artist uses the surface of shells to paint or sketch. Artist Sreeja Kalappura has been renowned for her experiments on the various kinds of canvasses, in the past few years. Earlier, she has made paintings out of the feathers of many birds, and have also used stones as canvasses. This time, she is back using shells as her canvas.
