Visakhapatnam: Members of India youth society conduct plastic waste collection drive

Members of India youth society were seen conducting a plastic waste collection drive at Visakhapatnam’s YMCA beach road on December 27. Under the programme, participants were given a reward for turning in plastic waste. For 1kg plastic they received 1 cup of coffee, 2kg gave them 1 cloth bag, 3 kg gave them a breakfast (100ml milk, 2biscuits, nuts,1 banana and an egg) and 4kg waste made them eligible for a jute bag. Participants also had the option of replacing their own plastic items with better eco-friendly alternatives.
