The post mortem report showed that there were no injuries on the carcass of the panther. There were also no signs of the panther having suffered electrocution anywhere. There were traces of the hair of a wild boar on its tail. The internal organs of the panther have been removed and are being sent to the veterinary lab in Sangareddy. The carcass of the panther was found around 11 am on July 20 in the Patel cheruvu in Khajapur reserve forest area in Ramayampet range of Medak district. The villagers of Khajapur alerted the forest officials about the carcass. Forest officials are of the initial opinion that the panther could not have been a victim of hunters as its fingernails were also intact.
