Telangana CM felicitates Indian women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj, coach RSR Murthy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the West Bengal government and the Trinamool Congress over alleged mismanagement at a Santhal community event attended by President Droupadi Murmu. Speaking at a public gathering, Modi said the TMC boycotted the programme and failed to ensure proper arrangements for the President. He described the lapse as an insult not only to the President but also to the Constitution and the democratic traditions of the country. Highlighting Murmu’s tribal background and her commitment to the welfare of tribal communities, Modi said the event should have been treated with greater respect. Accusing the TMC of playing “dirty politics”, the Prime Minister warned that what he called the party’s “arrogance of power” would eventually be challenged by the people of West Bengal and across the country.
