Special flight carrying 55 Afghan Sikhs reaches India under Centre's evacuation push

A Special flight carrying 55 Sikh minorities from Afghanistan arrived at Delhi airport on Sept 25. The flight was operated by Ariana Afghan and organised by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandak Committee. It was done as a part of initiatives to evacuate distressed minorities from Afghanistan. At least 38 people, 14 children, and 3 babies from Afghanistan arrived in India. They will disembark at Delhi airport after completion of the requisite formalities. After arrival, they will proceed towards Gurdwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, K Block, New Mahavir Nagar. SGPC in coordination with Indian World Forum, GoI is facilitating evacuation of distressed minorities from Islamic nation. 68 Afghan Hindus and Sikhs have arrived till date after the attack at Gurudwara Karte Parwan in Kabul. SGPC is bearing the airfare for the same.
