The Kejriwal government sent a fresh proposal to Delhi lieutenant governor Anil Baijal on Thursday seeking his consent to allow hotels, gymnasiums, yoga centres and weekly markets to reopen in the capital. Asking the LG to reconsider his decision, revenue minister Kailash Gahlot argued that the Covid-19 situation wasn’t as bad as earlier and many activities prohibited earlier could now be allowed. Last week, the LG had rejected the government decision on the resumption of operations by hotels and weekly markets.
