Guitar Rao: Civil engineer turns music teacher for Re 1 per day

If you go to Andhra Bhavan between six and nine in the morning, you will find a middle-aged man with a long beard sitting on the pavement and teaching his students how to play guitar. If you talk to him, you will learn that he also provides the instruments and charges only Re 1 per day. This music teacher is former Andhra Pradesh civil engineer, S V Rao, better known as ‘Guitar Rao’, who’s on a mission to convince Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start a Sangeet Bharat campaign on the lines of Swachh Bharat.
