Delhi: Tulip flowers make NDMC gardens more colourful

Despite the entirely different climatic conditions, the New Delhi Municipal Council had succeeded in growing Tulip flower plants in its Children Park at India Gate, Lodhi Garden and Nehru Park in Chankaypuri area during this winter. About 17000 bulbs of the varieties consisting of Purple Prince, Red impression, Crystal Star, Queens land, World’s favorite, Ninja, Largo, Orange Queen and Micky Chic had been successfully grown in these parks and gardens. Pre-programmed bulbs were imported from Holland. The flowering tulips are now in full bloom and it has become the centre of attraction for the people particularly the children, who are visiting the gardens.
