This place of worship in a Karnataka village, Mallasandra, is revered by Hindus and Muslims alike. A unique place of worship where Hindus worship God Anjaneya while Muslims pray to the Sufi saint Babaiah. The holy place reflects both Indo-Islamic architecture with structures that represent temple and mosque. Muslims shun non-veg food during Ganesh Chaturthi, while Hindus observe fast during Ramazan. The people of this village offer lessons in communal harmony, a perfect example of Hindus and Muslims peacefully co-existing together.
