Karnataka: Girl in hijab enters college, heckled by students wearing saffron stoles

A girl in a Mandya college who entered the campus wearing saffron stoles was confronted by students wearing saffron stoles. As the boys shouted slogans of Jai Shree Ram, the girl shouted 'Allahu Akbar'. College authorities came in between the protesting students and the girl and escorted her inside the building. The controversy began after some Muslim girls demanded entry inside college campuses wearing hijab, with college authorities saying the dress code doesn't allow for this. On the other hand, Hindu students say they will wear saffron scarves if Muslim girls are allowed to wear hijab inside colleges.
