Karnataka: 50 lakhs worth of food kit seized from Congress MLA's godown

The Karnataka Food and civil supplies Department raided a godown and seized Rs.50 lakhs worth of food kits, that were prepared for distribution for the Ugadi festival. The kits have photos of Congress MLA Roopakala Shashidhar embossed on them. Roopakala is the daughter of a senior Congress leader KH Muniyappa. Police said that an investigation is on in the matter. ADGP Alok Kumar tweeted that a 'Case has been registered and the investigation continues'.
