In a significant move to curb irregularities, the Lokayukta conducted raids on 45 Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) offices across the city. The operation aimed to scrutinise and address potential corruption and mismanagement within the municipal body. The extensive raids come as a response to growing concerns about financial improprieties and administrative inefficiencies. A team of 13 Judicial Officers, 7 Superintendents of Police, 19 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 26 Police Inspectors, along with numerous other Police Personnel and staff, were assigned to the inspection process. Overseeing the inspections were the Director General of Police and the Inspector General of Police from Karnataka Lokayukta.
