Star India plans to launch a secondary GEC lying in cans
The channel’s plans to launch a secondary GEC in Tamil language is stuck in the license issue
Star India has been planning to launch a secondary GEC in the Tamil regional market for a long time. But the license for Vijay Plus, an entertainment channel has been lying in cans as the license is stuck with the Information and Broadcasting ministry, according to a report. Vijay Plus is touted to be an entertainment channel with a new set of content and a few re-runs of the prime shows on Vijay TV.
The channel will be on the lines of Asianet in Malayalam and Suvarna in Kannada.
