According to a Mid-day report, Gauahar Khan has hired a new bodyguard now with whom she turned up for an Award function. The anchor has hired the same bodyguard as Shahid Kapoor to ensure that she is safe everywhere. The TV actress reportedly went through a traumatic phase when a junior artiste slapped her on the sets of the show she hosted.

According to a report on India.com, Gauahar Khan had apparently paid a junior artist to slap her. While it was earlier reported that the actress was slapped on the finale episode of the reality show just for wearing a short dress, the truth seems to be quite different and shocking. As per the reports, accused Akil Malik revealed that he was a junior artist and he was searching for work from a long time and was told that if he slaps actress Gauhar Khan he will be paid handsomely and along with this he may get a well-paid role in Dabangg 3. The accused also maintained that he and Gauahar had a verbal agreement that she wouldn't report him to the cops and that there will be no legal action taken against him.

According to report on missmalini.com, Bigg Boss ex-contestant Ajaz Khan has apparently gone on record to say that anyone can get distracted by looking at a woman’s body and that negativity must have taken over the man who attacked Gauahar on India's Raw Star. The report further states that he went on to validate his statements saying that Islam demands women to be covered up before stepping out of the house. Ajaz was quoted saying that if a lady covers herself fully she will not attract unwarranted attention, such clothes provoke men. However he added that the incident should not have happened. "Islam doesn’t allow this act of violence. The man who assaulted Gauahar is against Islam," the report quoted Ajaz.

As people woke up to the news of Bigg Boss 7 winner and item girl Gauahar Khan being slapped during the India’s Raw Star finale, mixed reactions started pouring in on micro-blogging site, Twitter. While almost everyone expressed their anger and shock over the incident, few chose to infuse some wit in the situation. Look how Gauahar Khan kept the Twitterati busy all day.

Farhan Akhtar was among the first celebs to speak up on Gauahar Khan’s plight. A Muslim himself, the singer-actor-director spearheads the MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) campaign and took to Twitter to share his shock and frustration over the incident. He tweeted, “Dearest natural selection, please help us out-evolve morons like the one who slapped Gauhar Khan. Sincerely...” He was one of the many men who spoke up in the model-actress' support on Twitter.

Madhur Bhandarkar, the filmmaker with several women-oriented movies like Fashion, Heroine, Chandni Bar to his credit, also spoke up on the issue soon after the news broke out. In a rant of sorts, Madhur tweeted, “Shocked to hear that Gauhar Khan got slapped for alleged indecency. Absurdity just touched a new level. Disgusting and highly condemnable.” Gauahar Khan soon found several fans and celebs standing up for her on Twitter.
