‘No. Yaari with Rana’ host Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s wedding is one of the much anticipated pandemic weddings of this season. From taking his fans by surprise by introducing his ladylove on Instagram to a close and cosy Roka engagement ceremony in Rama Naidu studios, their wedding is full of surprises. While they prep up for their big day on August 8, here’s everything you need to know about the wedding.

Despite being one of the high profile weddings, both the families of Rana and Miheeka have opted for a low-key wedding with just close family members in attendance. Right from engagement to the wedding ceremony, it is going to be a close-knit affair owing to the COVID-19 condition in the state of Telangana.

Rana and Miheeka’s wedding will have a beautiful blend of traditional Telugu and Marwari customs. The Pellikoduku function will be performed at Rana’s home while the Mata Ki Chowki will be held at Miheeka’s place. Besides, haldi, mehendi and other ceremonies will be held at the bride and groom’s residences.

Rana and Miheeka’s wedding was first planned at a posh hotel in Hyderabad where one of the big fat weddings of the country have taken place. But later, both the families have reportedly decided to perform in Rama Naidu studios where the roka ceremony was also held recently.

Amid COVID-19 spread, the wedding venue in the premises of Rama Naidu studios is being turned into a bio-secure bubble. All the guests will be tested for COVID-19 and the organisers will ensure social distancing is followed, unauthorized entries into the wedding premises are controlled besides disinfecting the venue regularly and making sanitizers are also available at the venue.

Both the families have decided to keep the guest list below 30 people with only close family members in attendance. Not even close friends of the bride and groom within or outside the industry are invited for the close ceremony.

Miheeka owns an event management firm based in Hyderabad; no wonder she designed her own wedding. But her mommy dearest Bunty Bajaj also had a say in the wedding theme and a special team from Delhi has been commissioned to execute it, sources reveal.

Bunty Bajaj is leaving no stone unturned to ensure her daughter’s big day remains a memorable one for her and the entire family. So, she has planned for a couple of special surprises for Miheeka which will be revealed only on the wedding day.

Close sources reveal that both Rana and Miheeka have decided to host a post-pandemic wedding reception or a party for friends within and outside the industry who cannot make it to the wedding. Both Rana and Miheeka are well connected in Bollywood with many mutual friends in Mumbai who can’t fly down to Hyderabad amid Corona scare. So, they will reportedly host a big fat party once the pandemic ends which will have the who’s who of the Indian entertainment business gracing the event.

Miheeka is a friend of Venkatesh Daggubati’s (Rana’s uncle) daughter and both Rana and Miheeka have a lot of friends in common. Talking about their love story in one of his recent LIVE interactions on Instagram, Rana said, “To me it was about commitment and guess I met her when I was ready for it. She knew where I was getting over our telephonic conversation and then we met in person. I told Miheeka a bunch of things together which I can’t recollect now. She was shocked but then she was happy.”

In one of his previous TV interviews, the most eligible bachelor in T'town said that he changed his friends once they all got married. Revealing how he decided to ditch bachelorhood, Rana said, “I met her, liked her and I’m getting married to her now. I thought about it all day and spoke to her in the evening. My mom tells people all happened in three days over a couple of conversations. It was the first time I thought I should do this quickly. She must have done something special. I went with the flow.”
