Talking to ETimes TV about his Ugadi celebrations, the popular filmmaker-turned-TV judge said, "Ugadi is a special festival for not just me but the entire Telugu community. It's our new year. New hopes, aspirations and beginnings, this festival is dear to me. I had my Ugadi pachadi. I've been receiving wishes from friends, well-wishers and everyone on WhatsApp and calls. I've sent out my greetings as well. Panchanga Sravanam on TV is a must. Lunch with family members and spending some quality time with them is the best part of this day."

Elaborating on his connection with the festival, the revered filmmaker said, "Ugadi is extra special because my film Ugadi (1997) was also successful. It was a musical film. I came to the film industry to become a hero. So, I've played the lead in the film besides writing and directing it. I've also danced to my 100th song in the movie. So many fond memories I have of the movie."

Commenting on his TV debut with Drama Juniors 5, SV Krishna Reddy said, "I felt this is the right platform to find young talent and I'm thoroughly enjoying this experience."

SV Krishna Reddy is sharing the judge panel with actor-filmmaker Renu Desai and playback singer-TV personality

Sunitha

. Drama Juniors 5 is hosted by Pradeep Machiraju.
