Exclusive - Bigg Boss Telugu 6's Baladitya's brother Kaushik Srikrishna comes to his support; says, "If Geetu was so concerned about his smoking, why drag it into tasks?"
TV actor Kaushik Srikrishna is a busy man but lately, he has been following Bigg Boss Telugu season 6 regularly and his younger brother Baladitya is also one of the key reasons. Baladitya was grilled by host Nagarjuna about his emotional outburst towards Geetu after the latter tried to make a deal to hide his cigarettes during the recent captaincy contender task.
For the unversed, Baladitya lost his cool at Geetu during the task when she along with Sri Satya tried to hide his cigarettes and lighter and cut a deal in the game. They refused to give him back the cigars when the game was paused as well. This rubbed Baladitya on the other side. Addressing the issue, host Nagarjun in Saturday's episode, found fault with Baladitya for 'overstretching' the topic and losing his words on Geetu for his cigarettes. He encouraged Baladitya to overcome his 'weakness' for smoking and appreciated him for vowing not to smoke again in the BB house.
In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Kaushik, who watched Saturday's (November 5) episode, shared his thoughts over Baladitya's habit of smoking, Geetu's 'concern' over the same, his younger brother's promise to quit smoking in BB house and more.
We have spoken about his smoking habit before
I'm not trying to justify smoking here but can we deny the fact that everybody has some or the other weakness and we don't like to be poked on that? We have spoken about his smoking habit before stepping into the house as well. But he wanted to be himself in the reality show and I said, 'Face the consequences.'

Why can't she talk to him about it personally?
Being a brother, I've spoken to him several times. I've encouraged him to cut down on the number of cigars he smokes on a daily basis. I have a simple question now. If Geetu felt like a true sister and if she was so concerned about his smoking, why can't she talk to him about it personally? Why try to do something during the tasks alone? Or did she talk to him and we didn't get to see him? Not sure.

It was his withdrawal symptom
The outburst was a consequence of his withdrawal symptoms, nothing can be stopped overnight and I'm sure many of us understand how painful it will be. Then was Geetu trying to help Aditya quit smoking through her tactic in the task? Moreover, Aditya did not use any profane language against her and later apologised to her for that breakdown as well. What else can anyone do? Even then it was projected as an attempt to assassinate someone's character.

There is no discussion about Geetu's flawed game
I really felt bad that Baladitya's smoking has been blown out of proportion while there is no discussion about Geetu's flawed game. I personally don't consider her game as a game either. I was taken aback by how the BB team dealt with Baladitya-Geetu's issue with bias. Geetu might be right in some areas but she is not right all the time. I also noticed how a few housemates consoled Adi Reddy when he was upset during the task but only a couple of them turned up to hear Aditya out when he got emotional.

His wife was fine but our mother got affected
His wife was fine but our mother got affected seeing her go through a lot of trauma inside the house now. She was not happy at how only his smoking is being unnecessarily projected in the show. We can't see him suffering anymore. But I'm proud he took that decision to not smoke again in the house.

That is his real weakness
I feel not smoking but not being able to keep his ethics out of the task is his real weakness. He can't get physical during the task especially when female contestants are around. He got stuck when Sri Satya's costume got disturbed during the task as well. I think he should start seeing a task like a task. He knows the difference between aggression and violence as well.

Baladitya can set the right example for many like him
At the age of 10, he worked with many stalwarts of this industry as a child artist. He is well-read and highly knowledgeable too. Personally, he is the same Baladitya even if he wins the show or not. To us, he is already a winner by overcoming his weakness. But I truly believe a well-read, wise and balanced person like Baladitya can set the right example for many like him if he wins the show by overcoming his flaws and winning everyone's hearts.
