Close sources reveal that Bigg Boss Telugu 4 was initially scheduled to be launched in the first week of July this year. However, the forthcoming season was forced to be postponed due to COVID-19 spread and nationwide lockdown. Amid growing speculations that the fourth edition might be canceled, the makers have recently announced the season with its first teaser unveiling the logo.

Every season of Bigg Boss witnesses some changes in the architecture of Bigg Boss house, the game format which includes the nomination, elimination process and other elements. However, season 4 of Bigg Boss Telugu is certainly different as it is expected to induce changes in the tasks keeping in mind social distancing and other post-lockdown shooting norms in mind. It is rumoured that the contestants will be quarantined for more than a week before entering the BB house. However, an official confirmation is still awaited on this.

The premiere, grand finale and weekend episodes are one of the most vibrant episodes of the show; due credits to the host, contestants and also the live audience present in the studio. It is also rumoured that the production house is considering the merits of running Bigg Boss Telugu 4 for just 10 weeks due to the current COVID-19 scenario in the state. However, the upcoming teasers of the show are most likely to reveal more on this.

Nagarjuna Akkineni has turned out to be one of the most successful host of the Bigg Boss Telugu series. The previous season has reportedly recorded some impressive numbers on the TRP charts which is one of the reasons why Nagarjuna will return to host the show in the upcoming fourth edition as well. While it is rumoured that Nagarjuna received Rs. 12 lakh per episode for the previous season, he is apparently charging over Rs. 8 crore for the season, as per industry sources. An official confirmation on this is awaited, too.

Sources suggest that the makers might opt for yet another budget-friendly mode of payment as the pandemic has affected the budgets of TV shows across the country.
