In the earlier days, Julie was seen tolerating all the negative comments coming her way. Gayathri Raguram and Harathi targeted Julie and she pleaded before the camera to send her out of the show. The incident reportedly helped her earn huge support from audience. People have slammed Gayathri and Aarathi for their behavior inside the show.

As soon as Julie entered the BB house, Julie developed a brotherly bond with actor Bharani. Bharani treated her like his sister. But soon, she was seen calling Bharani names, she termed him a ‘Sadist’. When the other housemates cornered Bharani, she turned against him. Feeling let down by housemates, Bharani attempted to escape by climbing the tall outer wall of Bigg Boss house and got eliminated.

Within weeks after Julie entered the Bigg Boss house, she lost her fans' support for twisting things to remain friends with Gayatri. When Julie was crying in pain, Gayathri, Namitha, and Raiza raised doubts that she was acting. She was seen conveying this to Oviya, who came to console her. But when she was confronted by Gayathri, Julie twisted the facts and said it was Oviya who told Namitha and Gayathri were saying that she was acting in pain and tried to confuse her.

In one of the earlier episodes, Julie said, "Unlike other celebrities in the house, I've never faced a camera in my life. The fact that I'm a commoner annoys everyone. I feel my presence rattles them." But the netizens made two of her music videos surface on social media and it went viral. It served as fodder for meme-makers. Fans on social media painted her as a liar and she was the debate of the week on the internet.

One of the juiciest moments in Bigg Boss Tamil 1 would be, the “Kurumpadam” (short film) that Kamal played for Julie. Julie ganged up with Namitha and Gaytri one night and sang loudly with the sole intention to disturb Oviya who was sleeping. She was bullied to the extent that she was forced to leave the ladies’ bedroom and seek refuge in the mens' bedroom.

During a weekend episode, Kamal Haasan exposed Juliana’s lie that had turned almost everyone in the house against Oviya. Kamal played a video clip to clear the confusion, putting Juliana in an awkward position.
