Madhura Deshpande's headed to Shanghai

Madhura Deshpande, known for her roles in Marathi soaps Ase Hey Kanyadan and Zunjh, is on cloud nine. The actress, already well versed with Indian classical dance, is all set for an overseas journey to get trained in theatre too. She is the one among the 20 from across the world to receive a scholarship from the prestigious Shanghai Theatre Academy, to learn Chinese theatre and opera.The actress shares, "While surfing the internet casually , I had come across some videos about Chinese theatre, which inspired me to apply for the course. I am really lucky to have got selected. Its a three-week course and I am excited."Madhura has come a long way since her first serial Ase Hey Kanyadan that saw her acting along side stalwart Sharad Ponkshe. She is also looking forward to her next film Bus Stop which is slated to release next month.
