​From Chimanrao Gundyabhau to Tula Pahate Re: Hit Marathi shows to rerun during lockdown phase

A number of old Marathi TV shows are gearing up for a rerun from this week following the demand of the audience. Ramayan and Mahabharat are getting aired once again tickling the nostalgia and now Marathi TV is all set to welcome some old hits. From Chimanrao Gundyabhau to ‘Tula Pahate Re’, take a look at the hit shows which are going to entertain the audience amidst lockdown.

​Chimanrao Gundyabhau

The iconic TV show ‘Chimanrao Gundyabhau’ will return after 23 years. The TV storyline of the show was based on the book ‘Chimanrao and Gundyabhau’ written by C.V Joshi. Veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar played Chimanrao's role whereas Gundyabhau's character was played by Bal Karve. The chemistry between them was popular at that time. Laxmikant Berde was also a part of the show which will be aired once again from April 6. (PC -Instagram)

​Raja Shivchatrapati

The popular historical series ‘Raja Shivchatrapati’, based on the Maratha king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is all set for a re-run. Dr. Amol Kolhe played the iconic character of Chatrapati Shivaji in the daily soap. Thus, The series will be aired from April 3. (PC -Instagram)

​Ratris Khel Chale

The horror thriller show Ratris Khel Chale Season 1, revolved around the strange things faced by the Naik family. Later, the show came to an end with the revelation that Madhav’s wife Neelima was responsible for everything. Presently, season 2 is spicing up its storyline with an interesting plot of Anna Naik and Shevanta’s love story which has already gained the attention of the viewers. ​Jai Malhar

This series was based on Lord Martanda Bhairava also known as Khandoba, a reincarnation of Lord Shiva. The show was all about Khandoba's courage, magnanimity, and prowess. He is also fondly known as Malhar and worshipped across Maharashtra & beyond. Devdatta Nage played Khandoba whereas Isha Keskar played Banu on-screen. ​Ek Ghar Mantarlela

Ek Ghar Mantarlela, the much-loved pair of Marathi television Suyash Tilak and Suruchi Adarkar, who were last seen in 'Ka Re Durava' had reunited for the show. The show was all about Gargi, a journalist, who enters in a haunted bungalow to investigate it and deconstruct the myths behind it. However, she soon started experiencing paranormal phenomena. ​Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji

TV show Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji started a rerun of the show from March 30. The lead actor of Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji, Dr. Amol Kolhe, who played the lead historical character 'Sambhaji', infirmed it a few days ago. It seems like the series is receiving a good response. (PC -Instagram)

​Tula Pahate Re

Tula Pahate Re has never failed to engage the audience with the series of exciting twists and turns in the storyline. As the storyline advanced, Subodh Bhave's on-screen character Vikrant turned negative. The romantic tale was fascinating because of the age gap between the on-screen pair Isha (the character played by Gayatri Datar) and Vikrant (Subodh Bhave). The show went off air 2 years ago and now it is all set to entertain the audience again from April 6. (PC-Instagram)
