Exclusive: "My father who works in police department got emotional when he saw me in the uniform," says Raja Ranichi G Jodi fame Shivani Sonar

Marathi TV show Raja Ranichi G Jodi has been entertaining the audience for the last few years with its romantic love tale of Sanjeevani and Ranjeet. As per the latest track of the show, Sanjeevani has joined the police force with the support of her husband Ranjeet. Actress Shivani Sonar, who is playing Sanjeevani on-screen, shared her excitement with ETimes TV. In an exclusive chat with Etimes TV, Sanjeevani spoke about the twist of the show, wearing police uniform on-screen, and much more.

Talking about the show's latest twist, Shivani said, "I am so happy that my most awaited track is all set to air on TV. I was desperately waiting to wear the police inform on-screen. As per the show's track, Ranjit had lost his position in the police force, and he decides to make her wife a police officer. I so happy that finally, we have reached a turning point in our show

Shivani wore a police uniform for the first time on-screen, and sharing her excitement, she said, "I have always heard that the uniform has a different vibe, but I realized it today. There is something magical in the police uniform that you can't even feel to take it off. There is a proud feeling that comes with it.

Wearing the uniform for the on-screen role is not easy the way it looks. The uniform carries its own responsibility. I felt respected and honored when I wore it.

My father is in the police force, but he works in the backend. But still, he is a part of the police department. I video called him when I wore the uniform, and he got emotional. I also got emotional because it was one of the memorable days for me.

My character Sanjeevani Dhale Patil will always stay close to my heart. It is my first ever TV show, but I got immense popularity with it. I am thankful to the audience.
