Popular Marathi actor Gaurav More, who shot to fame with the TV show Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra, is currently shooting in London, UK for his upcoming project. Gaurav, who went to a foreign country for the first time, is happy about it. He shared his excitement with ETimes TV where he spoke about how he feels so proud that he is the first one from his family as well as the chawl who went to London, his first experience there, and how he has set an example in front of everyone.

First experience in London

Gaurav went to London for his work and shared his happiness. He said, "I am really happy that I am in London now. I never thought that I would come to London and shoot for my project. I have only seen London in films and web series but when I came here I could not believe it."

I am the first one who went to London in my Chawl and family

"I feel proud of myself that I am the first one from my family and the chawl who went to a foreign country for the first time. In my entire family, I am the first one who went to London. I come from a slum area of Powai and I still live there with my family. Though I am an actor now and I have fans and few people know me that does not mean I will forget my root," he says.

​My neighbors feel proud of me - Gaurav

"My neighbors from my chawl sometimes make video calls and ask me to show them the streets of London. I call them or send pictures on social media. They are happy and I am happy to see their happiness," he adds.

​Visit Dr. Ambedkar's house in London

Gaurav More also visited the home of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in London and clicked a few pictures. Gaurav said, "I totally felt thankful when I went there. I was speechless. I am proud. What the man has done in his life is really commendable."

​I replied to everyone with my hard work - Gaurav

Gaurav said that he has been shooting in London for the past few weeks and he recalled the tough phase of his life. He said, "This is really new to me. Everything is new to me here. The lifestyle is different. I am really happy that I have set an example and inspired children from slum or chawl areas. People did not talk to my family and troubled them about our financial status but my hard work gave them an apt reply."
