The newly-launched show, 'Padatha Painkili' has made a smashing entry into the TRP charts. The show which marked the acting debut of actress Maneesha has secured the second spot in the latest TRP charts. The serial portrays the life of Kanmani, who is working as a house help in a rich household. Also, 'Padatha Painkili' was the last serial of late actor Sabari Nath.

Kerala State Television Awards 2019
The Kerala State Television Awards for 2019 have been declared by Minister for Cultural Affairs A.K. Balan on Saturday (September 19). From actress Kavitha Nair winning the best actress title to political satire, 'Marimayam' declared as the best comedy show, Malayalam GEC has been acknowledged with some prestigious awards this time. Comedian Nazeer Sankranthi was chosen as the best actor (comedy) for 'Thatteem Mutteem' and 'Comedy Masters'. Uppum Mulakum fame Shivani Menon has also received a special mention in the child actor category.

Actor Sabari Nath passed away due to cardiac arrest
Malayalam TV actor Sabari Nath passed away due to cardiac arrest on Thursday (September 17). The 43-year-old actor reportedly breathed his last at a private hospital in Trivandrum, after he suffered a cardiac arrest while playing badminton. The actor, who shot to fame with shows like 'Minnukettu','Amala' and 'Swami Ayyappan', is survived by his wife and two daughters. Recently, Sabari was seen playing a meaty role in the newly launched serial, 'Padatha Painkili'.
